Jesmin Ara first female solicitor in Bangladesh

Jesmin Ara Begum, a senior district judge, has become the first female solicitor in Bangladesh, appointed by the government, said a press release.

Earlier, she worked as district and session judge in Comilla.

Jesmin serves 31 years in the judiciary with a good reputation, serving as a judge and in the administrative tribunals in Dhaka, Comilla, Munshiganj and Sylhet.
