IO cross-examined in graft cases against railway officials
The investigation officer of the corruption cases filed against three suspended Bangladesh Railway (East Zone) officials including general manager Yusuf Ali Mridha was cross-examined before a Chittagong court yesterday.
The IO, Rashedur Reza, also Anti-Corruption Commission assistant director, was cross-examined in two cases filed on September 13, 2012 over irregularities in recruitment into the assistant chemist and fuel checker posts, said ACC public prosecutor Mahmudul Haque Mahmud.
The IO will also be cross-examined today in three other cases over the issue, said the PP.
Two other suspended staff are additional chief mechanical engineer Hafizur Rahman, and senior welfare officer Golam Kibria.
