2 murdered in Dhaka

Two persons have died in separate incidents in Darussalam and near Airport Railway Station of Dhaka.

Miscreants stabbed Md Shaheen, 16, in Darussalam area around 8:30pm last night following an altercation in a football match, said Darussalam Police Station Officer-in-Charge Selim-uz-Zaman.

The boy died on the way to a hospital, the OC said. Police were trying to arrest the killers.

Rubeya, 26, a beggar, was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband near Dhaka Airport Port railway Station this afternoon.

The husband Nazmul stabbed Rubeya following a quarrel around 12:30pm today, said sub-inspector of Dhaka Railway Police Station, Ali Akbar.

Locals took Rubeya to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared her dead, he said.
