Best budget phones of 2019

Budget phones have gotten better and better over the years. And while this list consists of phones you can get if you’re on a budget, each of these devices have premium features and all-round dependability to boot..
Best Smartphones in 2019

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro

Price: BDT 21,999/-

Best feature: Primary 48MP camera

Redmi Note 7 Pro is probably one of the few smartphones that can provide an amazing photography experience on a budget. The phone also offers decent battery life and impressive hardware performance that most average users would love. Don't be fooled by its monotonous design and slim form-factor, everything about this phone is far superior than its predecessor, the Redmi Note 7. The hybrid SIM slot is a tad bit annoying, but certainly not a deal breaker.

Huawei P30 Lite

Price: BDT 25,999/-

Best feature: Great design

P30 Lite bears all the hallmarks of its hunky brethren, the P30 Pro: outstanding performance, an amazing camera and an eye-catching design coupled with a fabulous colour scheme. Despite all the Trump hoopla, Huawei has been able to churn out market leading products for the midrange segment and P30 Lite is the very epitome of that.  Only downside of this device: not the best battery life on the market right now.

Vivo S1

Price: BDT 28,990/-

Best feature: Good battery life

The only phone in our list that hasn't been launched in the local market yet. Being the pioneer in the 'In-display fingerprint scanning', Vivo has kept this feature in S1. The phone also comes with a massive 4,500 mAh battery meaning more on-screen time for the users. The back houses a triple camera setup that can take ultrawide snaps. Out of the two colour schemes it's coming out, we loved the diamond black one.

Samsung Galaxy A50

Price: 24,990/-

Best feature: Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen

The Galaxy A50 sports a gorgeous display and a premium quality build. The 4000 mAh battery helps to provide good mileage as well. It looks and feels like any of the flagship Galaxy devices except when you're gaming. The Exynos 9610 is just simply not as powerful as the Snapdragon 675 so you'll get better gaming performance on devices which have the latter chipset. The display and Samsung's One UI more than make up for that.

Oppo F11

Price: 25,990/-

Best feature: Cheapest pop-up camera

The Oppo F11 not only has the cheapest pop-up selfie camera on this list, but also a powerful 48 MP primary camera. The pictures it produces are full of great colours and a lot of dynamic range. The phone's software is perhaps its biggest drawback with Oppo's ColorOS providing you with a lot of bloatware.  The Snapdragon 710 SOC will get the job done, but don't except the best performance in demanding games like PUBG.

Realme X

Price: Starting from BDT 26,999/-

Best feature: Polycarbonate build

Easily the most eye-catching phone on this list, the sleek white back of the Realme X stands as a contrast to the razzle-dazzle design of the shimmering backs you find on Oppo and Vivo phones. No matter which design you prefer, the Realme X's polycarbonate build does have a leg up over the typical glass sandwich builds that we see today. The Realme X is currently only available on the grey market and have yet to launch officially.
