Dhaka stocks open higher

Shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) continued to rise for the second consecutive day today.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse in Bangladesh, added 23 points, or 0.37 per cent, to 6,344 at 1:00 pm. Turnover stood at Tk 482 crore.

Of the securities, 219 advanced, 103 declined and 60 remained unchanged.

Meghna Insurance gained the most, with a 9.94 per cent increase.

Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries, Yeakin Polymer, Imam Button Industries, and Eastern Cables were on the top list.
