The government is set to launch a new initiative titled "Tarunner Utshob" (Youth Festival), aiming to harness the power and potential of the country's young population by involving them more deeply in national development.

A proposal has been made to allocate Tk 100 crore in the upcoming fiscal year to celebrate this festival across the country.

With the theme "Let's Change the Country, Change the World," the Tarunner Utshob 2025 has already been celebrated.

The initiative is part of a broader government effort to develop a skilled youth population and create widespread self-employment opportunities.

To support this goal, the loan ceiling for trained youths has been increased to Tk 2 lakh, while the limit for successful young entrepreneurs has been raised to Tk 5 lakh.

For the first time, a special fund of Tk 100 crore is being proposed for young entrepreneurs to boost youth-led ventures.

Additionally, a large-scale project is underway to provide training and credit facilities to nine lakh youths by December 2028, enabling them to pursue self-employment.

Self-employment projects have also been initiated for the family members of those injured or martyred in the July Mass Uprising.

In a significant step toward digital empowerment, freelancing training has been launched for 28,800 educated, job-seeking youths in 48 districts starting from January 2025.
