BANGABANDHU'S CALL TO COUNTRYMEN
Prime Minister Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in a message to the nation on the eve of his departure for London for treatment today calls upon the people, irrespective of their caste and creed, opinion and affiliation, to dedicate themselves to the task of rebuilding Bangladesh forgetting all their differences.
The prime minister in his message through Radio Bangladesh and BSS says that compelled by doctors' advice he is going for treatment. He adds that he is confident that with the good wishes of the people and by the grace of God, he would very soon return to the soil of Bangladesh.
Bangabandhu further says, "People of Bangladesh are in my heart. A happy and prosperous future for them is my mission. So I have dedicated my life for their service."
MUJIB'S MESSAGE TO INDIRA
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has sent a message of "warmest regards" to Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi whom he also says: "May I take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to you and your government for arranging so speedily my journey from Dhaka to London."
SOVIET LEADERS WISHES SPEEDY RECOVERY
The Soviet Union today offers "best possible treatment" for Bangabandhu either in Dhaka or in the Soviet Union. This is communicated to Bangabandhu by the Soviet Ambassador to Bangladesh VP Popov through a message from the leaders of the Soviet Union.
Foreign Minister Abdus Samad Azad informs that the Soviet leaders in their message expressed their personal concern at Bangabandhu's illness and wished his speedy recovery.
