Gazi Rakayet directorial “The Grave” released today

The last film to be released this year, "The Grave", directed by Gazi Rakayet, hits theatres today. The first ever English film from Bangladesh, "The Grave" carries the Bangla title, "Gor". Both the English and Bangla versions of the film will be running at Silver Screen Cinema Hall in Chattogram.
"The last Friday of the year fell on December 25. I decided to release it today for that reason, not on the occasion of Christmas," shares Rakayet.
The film was released in both Bangla and English, with an aim to reach viewers internationally. Rakayet, who has also written the script and screenplay of the film, portrays the titular role in it.
The film is set for release on January 1, 2021, in Dhaka. "Both versions of the movie are scheduled for release at Star Cineplex and Blockbuster Cinemas of Jamuna Future Park," shares the director.
The film stars Dilara Zaman , Dipanwita, Moushumi Hamid, Sushoma Sarkar, and Shamima Tusty among others with guest appearances from SM Mohsin and Mamunur Rashid.
"I aim to reach an international audience through this film. We had the same cast and crew for both the English and Bangla versions," adds Rakayet. "It was a challenging production, yet everyone successfully executed the shoot."
The film is a government-granted project, co-produced by Impress Telefilm Limited.
