BCB earns Tk 23 lakh at the BNS

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) earned a record amount from the Dhaka leg of the just concluded India-Bangladesh series.

BCB's ticket and seating committee disclosed yesterday that they earned around Tk 23 lakh from the first Test and last two day-night one-day internationals held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

"It was the highest income as gate money in the present board's tenure," said Khondokar Jamil-uddin, chairman of the committee.

An amount of Tk 10,12,000 was earned from the second one-day match on Sunday, which saw a capacity crowd at the Big Bowl. The third one-dayer sold for well over 7 lakh taka while the income from the first Test was in excess of 5 lakh.
