Zonta IV Club holds fund raising carnival

The Zonta IV Club organised a carnival at Arysha Restaurant in Gulshan recently to raise funds for young schoolchildren of Badda and for restoring eyesight of underprivileged children at Islamia Eye Hospital, says a press release.
Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan inaugurated the function and visited the stalls.
He was welcomed by Zonta Club IV President Naheed Moyeen who spoke of the projects of the club which includes education, helping victims of acid throwing and AIDS patients and restoring eyesight.
State Minister for Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Quamrul Islam also attended the function and made a donation.
A luncheon and a musical soiree were also held as part of the carnival.
Stalls selling gift items, snacks, artificial flowers and handicrafts attracted a huge number of guests.
The first prize of the carnival was a Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka ticket for two persons, sponsored by Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Members of Zonta IV Club and their families also made contributions to the funds.
