Indonesian ferry accident toll hits 20
The death toll from a ferry disaster in central Indonesia has climbed to 20, an official said yesterday, though nearly 60 people remain missing five days after the boat sank in rough seas with 116 people. Search and rescue agency chief Bambang Soelistyo told AFP 13 corpses were found Wednesday in the southern gulf of Sulawesi island, where the ill-fated ferry sent a distress signal before losing contact at the weekend.
