US Ambassador to Bangladesh Dan Mozena yesterday announced that the US Department of Agriculture would provide US $26 million through the World Food Programme to benefit 1.3 lakh schoolchildren in Bangladesh.
The contribution is a part of the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Programme, said a joint press release issued by the US and WFP yesterday.
Mozena made the announcement during a visit to Hashilkandi Government Primary School in Gaibanda.
