For all fun-loving guys, I've got the perfect anime for you: UFO Baby. It's a 78-episode anime television series by J.C. Staff, which was aired between March 2000 and February 2002 on NHK's BS2 broadcast satellite network. It was one of the top-rated anime series during its initial broadcast.
The story begins with an 8th-grade student Miyu Kouzuki, whose parents leave for the United States to work for NASA.  They arrange for her to stay with their long-time family friend, Hosho Saionji, a monk who lives at and runs an old temple on a hill. His son Kanata Saionji is another main character. He is one of the most popular boys in his school -- especially with the girls, due to his good looks and attitude. Good at studies, good at sports, what else do you need? So back to the story: Hosho Saionji soon leaves for India leaving Miyu and Kanata alone together. While they stay together Miyu begins to fall in love with Kanata, despite their constant fighting.
Until one day a UFO lands. Inside it there is an alien baby, Ruu, and his cat-like "sitter pet" Wannya. They fell through an interplanetary worm hole and ended up on Earth. Wannya insisted that Miyu and Kanata let them stay until they find a way to go back to their planet Otto. Soon Miyu and Kanata learn from Wannya that people from Planet Otto look identical to human beings, and that Wannya can also transform into any living thing or object. Miyu and Kanata take to Ruu, and he in turn calls them his parents. Besides these characters, there is Miyu and Kanata's classmate Christine who's pink-haired, half-French and wealthy. She's madly in love with Kanata and becomes jealous every time Miyu's around him. Momoka is another funny character, she often rides her tricycle, and is in love with Ruu, declaring him to be her boyfriend.
Eventually some people find out about Ruu's secret. But they promise not to tell anybody about it. Day by day Ruu and Wannya get closer to going back to their planet. But will they be able to do it? Can Ruu break through Miyu and Kanata's affection and go back to his family? The only way to find out is to watch it.
