National Geographic publishes Air Crash Investigation episode on US-Bangla plane crash in Nepal
Air Crash Investigation(s), a Canadian documentary television series produced by Cineflix that recounts air crashes and other mainly flight-related disasters and crises, yesterday released their latest episode chronicling the March 12, 2018 US-Bangla Airlines Flight 211 crash in Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal.
In the around 43-minute episode, shown on the National Geographic channel, the US-Bangla plane crash is reinvestigated.
Using the standard format, the episode looks into the cause of the crash as determined by the official investigating bodies.
It uses re-enactments, interviews, eyewitness testimonies, computer-generated imagery, cockpit voice recordings, and official reports to reconstruct the sequences of events.
On March 12, 2018, US-Bangla Airlines Flight 211 skidded off the runway, went through the airport perimeter fence, and crashed into a football field during landing. Fifty-one, including 29 Bangladeshis, of the 71 people on board were killed in the accident.
