HC status quo on Aftabnagar lake filling

The High Court today directed the authorities concerned to maintain status quo on earth filling and encroachment of natural water bodies and wetland in Aftabnagar housing project at Rampura-Khilgaon area in Dhaka for next three months.

In response to a writ petition, the court ordered the government to submit an aerial map of the housing project undertaken by Eastern Housing Limited in six weeks before it.

The aerial map has to be made through Google or satellite.
