Air Purifiers for your home

The air quality in Dhaka has taken a sharp decline in recent years. Meaning it has become and more difficult for us to breathe easy, event inside the comfort of our own home. And while the best way to combat this issue is by decreasing carbon emission and reforestation, such efforts take time and concentrated effort. In the meantime here are a few options that can make your room's air cleaner.
Hitachi EP-NZG70J
Price: BDT 48,900
We have mentioned the EP-NZG70J in one of our previous issues, namely because of all the purifiers currently available on the local market, this is the most competent at doing its job. It is one of the two purifiers on this list that comes with a PM 2.5 particle sensor to clear out the deadliest of harmful particulates. It is also capable of suppressing unpleasant things, such as mold, bacteria, viruses, etc. at a radius of 570ft², while also sucking up all the unpleasant odor and dust in the process. On the outside, it is one of the better-looking purifiers from Hitachi, having a fancy touch panel instead of ugly buttons. Having said that, it is on the expensive side.

Hitachi EP-NZG50J
Price: BDT 31,900
The NZG50J is best described as the base model of the Hitachi purifiers. It's much smaller in size compared to its other family members, meaning it can only cover a radius of 355 ft². Capability wise, it cannot surpass bacteria or viruses and suffers against smells of rotten meat and vegetables. That being said, it is much simpler to tuck it into a corner and is also considerably more affordable, making it ideal for people who want a Hitachi product but hesitant to spend too much on it.
All Hitachi air purifiers come with 1-year warranty and free servicing.

Samsung AX3000
Price: BDT 24,900
Taking a break from Hitachi, Samsung's AX3000 is a scaled-down cheaper version of the NZG70J, which leaves out some of the former's fancy features, which makes it more affordable. It lacks the PM 2.5 particle sensor but retains the filter and covers a smaller radius of 419 ft². Otherwise, it is just as capable of removing odour and other unpleasant elements from an area. It also ditches the fancy touchpad for good old fashion buttons, just so that it can be a bit more accessible to those who want to breathe easy.

Sharp FP-GM50E-B
Price: BDT 25,900
Sharp's air purifier comes with a bit of a sci-fi touch. Instead of a normal HEPA filter, it uses "High-density plasmacluster ion technology" to terminate air particles in a 430ft² radius. It also doubles as a bug catcher, being equipped with an insecticide-free glue sheet that attracts and traps mosquitoes. Annoyingly though, the plasmacluster does not come with a PM 2.5 sensor, meaning its air purification is not as thorough as some of the other purifiers on this list.
