Max Payne remake coming soon

A remake of the hit third-person shooter game Max Payne is in the works.

Remedy Entertainment, creators of the Max Payne games, will be entering a new agreement with Rockstar Games, known for their Grand Theft Auto lineup, to create this new remake. 

Regarding the new collaboration, Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games, said that both companies are thrilled to be working together again. Remedy and Rockstar have worked in the previous Max Payne titles as well, especially the sequel, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. 

According to Tero Virtala, CEO of Remedy, the remake will be retaining the action and atmosphere of the original Max Payne games but will be introduced in new ways to cater to the modern audience. 

May Payne games are famous for their neo-noir setting, gritty narrative and unique third-person shooter gameplay experience. The remake is reported to have entered the concept development stage.
