Huawei-BUET ICT Academy inaugurated to develop talent ecosystem
Chinese ICT giant Huawei and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) recently launched its ICT Academy at the BUET Council Building, Dhaka.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak, ICT State Minister, was present as the chief guest with Pan Junfeng, CEO of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd. and Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, Vice-chancellor of BUET, in attendance.
The ICT Academy has been established as a non-profit education program to prepare young learners with proper skills to meet the needs of the ICT sector. It also plans to develop an ICT talent ecosystem.
The initial journey of Huawei BUET ICT Academy will commence with around 250 students.
The students will be given a chance to communicate with more than 3,000 instructors from around the world. The course and certification will be coordinated by Huawei Authorized Information and Network Academy (HAINA).
Huawei has more than 1500 such ICT academies in 90+ countries around the world.
