India has discontinued the Air Suvidha form for international passengers from today to ease their arrival into the country.

International passengers were required to fill out the form as self-declaration of their coronavirus vaccination status.

Last week, the civil aviation ministry of India said the use of masks was not compulsory during air travel. "But passengers should preferably use them."

The Air Suvidha form was introduced in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic to curb the spread of the virus.

The revised guidelines for international arrivals were issued on Monday evening by the health ministry.
