AL candidate wins Gaibandha by-polls

Awami League candidate Golam Mostafa Ahmed is elected in the Gaibandha-1 by-election unofficially as he gets 30,071 votes more than his nearest contestant. Mostafa bags 90,169 votes while Jatiya Party nominated candidate Barrister Shamim Haider Patwari obtains 60,100 in all 109 centres.
