Swechchhasebak Dal leader murdered in Lalmonirhat

The activists of ruling Awami League allegedly stabbed dead a ward-level leader of Swechchhasebak Dal in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat this morning.

Mobarak Hossain, 38, was the president of ward No. 4 in Bawra union of Swechchhasebak Dal, reports our Lalmonirhat correspondent.

The killing took place around 10:15am, as the activists of Awami League stabbed Hossain indiscriminately at Shafinagar village in the union, said Habibul Haque Basuniya, chairman of Bawra Union Parishad.

Amiruzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC), of Patgram Police Station, also confirmed the killing.
