Wander Woman launches website and travel magazine at their virtual third anniversary celebrations
Wander Woman, a community for female travellers, connects and inspires people by arranging regular trips across the globe. The founder, Sabira Mehrin, was one of the winners of the 2020 Diana Award. Their virtual anniversary celebrations concluded on September 21.
The event consisted of panel discussions with renowned personalities including Monsurul Aziz, Head of Brand Marketing, Nagad, Mehruba Reza, Head of TARA, BRAC Bank, Mariam Javed Juhi, Head of City Alo, Mahzabin Ferdous Sharna, Executive Director of Concito PR and CEO of WEDO and Rehnuma Insan, Lawyer and Travel Blogger.
The event was a new step for the group as they launched their website (www.wanderwomanbd.com), following the announcement of their first ever travel magazine, Travelogue. The magazine features stories, suggestions and opinions of female Bangladeshi travelers across the world.
Wander Woman also arranged that flagship entrepreneurial event, Wander Ventures, which showcased unique products and services by the Wander Woman community members. 17 female entrepreneurs joined the event. The participating brands were Junk Studio, Remember Me - Special gifts, Shutakhela, Pinky Promise by Nity, Sundori Komola, Oh Nature, Yet To Be Chef, With Love from KL, Yellow Ginger Pot, Barberette, The Velvet Box, Nagarkrishi, Paint Point, Sajesca, Fiteat, Daru Chini Catering and Belora.
A variety of items were available in these virtual stalls, including delicious multi-cuisine food from Daru Chini Catering, FitEat and Yet to be a Chef, customisable care packages for all from Remember Me – Special gifts, affordable outfits from Shutakhela, Belora and Pinky Promise by Nity, funky stationery and animation services from Junk Studio, organic products from Oh Nature and gardening services from Nagarkrishi, eye-catching jewelry from Sundori Komola and Sajesca, gifts all the way from Kuala Lumpur With Love from KL, cosmetics from The Velvet Box, art and décor pieces by Yellow Ginger Pot and Paint Point, and hair colour and consultations by Barberette. The event attracted over 100,000 online visitors.
"I am glad to have envisioned a mindset shift, specifically for women willing to explore the world and global opportunities. I am grateful for all the support I have received and this is just the beginning," said Sabira.
