Antik Mahmud’s ‘Chol’ provides a thrilling experience to readers
Antik Mahmud has released Chol, a thriller novel, in the Ekushey Boi Mela this year. Priced at BDT 240, the book, published by Addhayan Publications, is currently available at a discounted price of BDT 180 at pavilion 17. What makes the book unique is the fact that the readers can choose the way they want the story to progress.

Chol revolves around Rakib, the protagonist, and his buddies, who are looking for one of their lost friends, Maleeha. As the story progresses, they come across different allegations against Maleeha and the adventure continues. This story has five different ways to progress and at various points, the reader is asked to decide which way they want the story to go. "Although all these ways are streamlined to one common theme, there are five possible endings given. I have tried my best to create a new experience for my readers," mentions Antik. So far, he has received positive reviews for the book.
Antik is also known for his YouTube videos and cartoon vlogs among the youth. Last year, he illustrated Ayman Sadiq's bestseller book, Bhallagena. This year. he released a superhero comic, Noman, with Oishik Jawad.
Antik is inspired by the work of eminent author Zafar Iqbal. "His writing style and wordplay is something I always look up to," Antik adds. As an illustrator, he admires the work of Ahsan Habib, Mehedi Haque, Asifur Rahman and Morshed Mishu. He plans to turn Chol into an entire series in the future.
