1 Minute Please!

On November 8th, 2014, 3 stars were born on the stage of Lux Channel I Superstar. Of them, one is Neelanjona Neela, who came third in the competition. "If it wasn't for such a big platform and competition, I may never have come this far in such a short span of time. I learned everything I need to from there!" After the prestigious contest, Neela went on to making a permanent name in the media through both modeling and acting. She has been seen in numerous dramas and serials, advertisements and billboards, all over the country. She is now busy shooting numerous Eid plays. The Star Weekend caught up with the young and thriving beauty amidst her very busy schedule. 

You have started acting shortly after your big break as a model. So far, who are three actors that inspire you the most?

Suborna Mustafa ma'am, Bipasha Hayat and Joya Ahsan.

If you had to choose between modeling and acting, which would you choose?

Acting.

You have had a good variety of characters to portray. What kind of characters appeals to you the most?

I like village-centric characters, the simplicity with which they live. I would also like to play a character from any of Rabindranath's stories.

What work are you busy with for Eid?

I'm doing a couple of telefilms and one hour drama fictions. I'm still in the middle of talks regarding more work.

When Neela is not busy shooting, she is…

Spending time with friends and family. I spend most of my time playing with my little sister.

What advice do you have for aspiring models?

I think anyone who comes into this industry should do it through a safe and secure platform. Many new comers don't understand a lot of things about this industry, and there are many people who are just ready to take advantage of that. So whatever you do, think about yourself and your safety before doing it.
