The Day I die

May it rain the day I die,

Clouds roar in the sky.

For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel.

Up above the sky larks fly,

Let it pour, the day I die.

It's all grey the day I die,

As far the eyes see.

Injured souls, my loved ones cry,

May it rain the day I die.

Tell my mom to go live long,

With her dazzling soul.

May she heal as time goes by,

May it rain the day I die.

Put three flowers on my curls

Be they white or blue,

Wrap me up for the afterlife

In deep shades or a neutral hue.

My grief may leave the day I die,

Let me bathe in rain,

Cleanse me of my pain.

My soul may breathe, it may fly.

May it rain the day I die.
