BRUTAL ANIMALS
The other day I was going to pick Chalta (a kind of sour fruit) from our village garden. I saw a few people were beating a newt mercilessly. I requested them to stop beating it and to let the newt go. They didn't heed to my request and rather scolded me. Finally they struck a fatal blow, killing it instantaneously. Once there was a time when our village garden was home to different species of animals. Many species have become extinct due to our ignorance. Now the rest of the species are in the threat of extinction. Animals are important to balance the ecological system and from ruining our environment. But everyday thousands of animal are being killed, strangled, injured and repressed by ignorant people. They are not aware about environmental issues, the consequences of environment degradation and why we need bio-diversity. So, we the educated people, the government, NGOs and the civil society should make an effort to create awareness among ignorant people regarding environmental issues.

STRANGE THIEF
An employee of our branch has two mobile sets; one is personal and another is official. Last week his personal set was stolen. Many people come to us seeking loans for wedding, medical treatments, charities, etc. They think that all they need to do is request money from the bank without submitting proper paper to receive the loan. Last Thursday, a seemingly hapless, poorly clad man came to our bank and requested for a loan. As he didn't have proper papers, my colleague asked him to come later. After a while, however, my colleague noticed that his office mobile set was missing. Through a CCTV footage, we realised that the 'hapless' man who came to the bank, requesting a loan, had stolen it. What strange theft!
