Pakistan cruise to eight-wicket victory

Pakistan cruised to an eight-wicket victory over Bangladesh to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series in Chattogram on Tuesday.
Starting the fifth day on 109 for no loss, the visitors lost two wickets – those of the two openers – before reaching the target of 202 in 58.3 overs.
Azhar Ali (24) and Babar Azam (13) took the Pakistan team to the victory target after Abid Ali (91) was trapped LBW by Taijul Islam while Shafique Abdullah Shafique (73) was the first to depart, falling to leg-before against Mehedi Hasan Miraz.
Pakistan had scored 286 runs in their first innings, conceding a lead of 44 runs. However, they managed to bowl out the hosts for 157 runs to keep the target to a fairly comfortable one, considering the pitch played well till the fifth day.
The second Test starts in Dhaka on December 4.
