On January 21, 2016, Shakib became the only the sixth player to score more than 8000 runs and scalp 400 wickets in international cricket. He joined a club that includes Jacques Kallis, Sanath Jayasuriya, Shahid Afridi, Kapil Dev and Chris Cairns.

The top four did not undergo any changes, with AB leading the charts and Virat Kohli seconding him. Amla and Williamson stays at number 3 and 4 respectively.
