The government will hold a public reception for the under-19 national cricket team to celebrate their historic victory in the world cup finals, Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said.
The decision came at a cabinet meeting chaired by the prime minister today, he told journalists at the Secretariat this morning.
“The date will be set after the team returns. The reception will be held at Suhrawardy Udyan,” Quader said.
The Young Tigers beat their Indian counterparts to win the ICC Under-19 World Cup in Potchefstroom yesterday.
