A 35-member squad of Nepal national football team are scheduled to land in the capital tomorrow morning on a charter flight to play two international friendlies against Bangladesh on November 13 and 17 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

Nepal, however, suffered a blow before the departure as two more footballers tested Covid-19 positive on Tuesday. Of a 30-member preliminary squad, five footballers tested Covid-19 positive before the start of their preparation camp on October 31.

"After arriving here, all members of the Nepal football team will undergo Covid-19 tests again and stay inside the hotel till Friday. They are supposed to start the training from Saturday, subject to negative Covid-19 reports," said Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag today.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh midfielder Mamunul Islam sustained an injury on his left-hand and is likely to miss both fixtures while defender Tutul Hossain Badsha, who did not join the camp, withdrew him from the squad citing his sickness.
