Bangladesh will face Nepal in the semifinals while India will square up against Maldives in the other last-four battle of SAFF U-19 Championship.

Bangladesh had began their campaign with a draw against the Maldives, followed by a crucial win over Bhutan to secure a place in the semifinals. However, their final group standing depended on the outcome of the match between the Maldives and Bhutan.

With 4 points from two matches, Bangladesh's group-topping hopes were uncertain before Tuesday's match. The Maldives needed to win by at least four goals to surpass Bangladesh, but the game ended in a 2-2 draw. As a result, Bangladesh emerged as Group A champions.

They will face Group B runners-up Nepal in the first semifinal on May 16. Nepal had suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to India in their group stage match. India, topping Group B, will play against the Maldives in the second semifinal on the same day. The final is scheduled for May 19.
