Arsenal to talk to players over alleged nitrous oxide inhalation
Arsenal have reportedly launched an internal investigation after footage emerged of some of the players inhaling nitrous oxide at a night club in central London.
Arsenal stars Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Matteo Guendouzi and Sead Kolasinac were seen partying and inhaling from balloons containing the alleged substance in a CCTV footage obtained by The Sun. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Shkodran Mustafi also appear in the CCTV footage but neither of the players is seen using the balloons.
‘Hippy crack’ -- the term for nitrous oxide or laughing gas-- is legal and it is used legitimately in medicine, dentistry and catering. The incident took place at the start of the season. “The players will be spoken to about this and reminded of their responsibilities as representatives of the club,” a club spokesperson was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
