Bangladesh women's cricket have entered the semifinals of the Asian Games after their quarterfinals fixture against Hong Kong in Hangzhou was called off due to rain today.

The Tigresses advanced to the next round on virtue of being the higher-ranked side.

Up next, Captain Nigar Sultana Joty and her troops are set to meet India in their last-four clash on September 24.

Asked if Bangladesh will be under extra pressure against India, Joty said, "No, we will treat it as just another match. It'd have been better to play today but we have good experience of playing against India of late, having won the last time we played them."

If rain continues to play spoilsport in that match, Bangladesh will be on the wrong side of the result.

"Look, no one has control over weather. We will take the preparation needed to succeed on the day," Joty remarked.
