'A’ teams’ second four-dayer heading for a dull draw

The second four-day Test between Bangladesh 'A' and their New Zealand counterparts headed towards draw as the visitors reached 277 for four at stumps of a rain-marred third day at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Friday.
Resuming on overnight score of 104-1, New Zealand lost wickets of Joe Carter (62), Curtis Heaphy (71) and Dale Phillips (0) to get reduced to 176-4 after Khaled Ahmed took two wickets while Saif Hassan chipped in with a wicket.
However, Nick Kelly and Matt Boyle frustrated Bangladesh bowlers as they put up an unbroken stand of 101 runs for the fifth wicket before bad light forced an early end to the day, which also had at least three rain interruptions.
Kelly remained not out on 83 off 140 balls while Boyle made 44 not out as the visitors are still trailing Bangladesh by 70 runs in their first innings after the hosts made 357 runs.
Bangladesh 'A' team had lost the opening four-day match by 70 run at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
