Asia Cup fixtures announced

The Asian Cricket council today announced the fixtures for the upcoming Asia Cup in UAE, slated to begin from August 27.
Bangladesh will play against Afghanistan in their opening Group B fixture on August 30th at Sharjah. Sri Lanka are the other team in Group B. The Tigers play their second game on September 1 against the Lankans at Dubai.

Group A consists of India, Pakistan and one team from the qualifiers slated to begin on August 20th at UAE as well.
The Super Four stage of the tournament will commence from September 1 where all four teams play each other. The final will be played on September 11 between the top two teams from the Super Four stage. The Asia Cup was moved to UAE from Sri Lanka due to ongoing crisis in the island nation but the hosting rights of the tournament still belongs to Sri Lanka.
