Amla to join Khulna for BBPL

Former South Africa batsman Hashim Amla will join Khulna Tigers on Tuesday and is expected to feature in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL) from the upcoming Sylhet phase.
"Amla will arrive tomorrow. He will be available from the next game. Meanwhile, Pakistan's pace-bowling all-rounder Aamer Yamin will also join the squad." informed Khulna Tigers' media manager Nafees Iqbal to The Daily Star today.
This is the first time Amla will be playing in BPL. The 36-year-old retired from international cricket in August 2019 and has been playing in different franchisee based cricket tournaments all over the world since then.
Meanwhile, injured Dhaka Platoon all-rounder Shahid Afridi has left the squad and returned to Pakistan. Another Dhaka all-rounder, Thisara Perera has also left.
Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad and all-rounder Faheem Ashraf have joined Dhaka to replace the two all-rounders.
