Cagers hammered by Lankans
Hosts Bangladesh suffered a massive 36-66 defeat to Sri Lanka in their second match of the South Asian Zone Qualifying round of FIBA Asian Cup at the Dhanmondi Wooden Floor Basketball Gymnasium yesterday.
Bangladesh, who made a winning start by beating Bhutan on the opening day, were a pale shadow of their opening day selves to trail by 9-27 in the first half and never recovered from their poor start as the visiting Sri Lanka had a stronghold in the second half.
In the day's first match, Bhutan bounced back to beat Nepal 70-65 despite trailing 28-34 in the first half.
