Taskin, Mosaddek among six Bangladeshi picked for Abu Dhabi T10 league
A total of six cricketers including the likes of Taskin Ahmed and Mosaddek Hossain were picked by teams during the draft on Wednesday for the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 league.
Taskin, Mosaddek, Muktar Ali were picked by Maratha Arabians and they will be playing alongside the likes of Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez in the fourth edition of the tournament.
All-rounder Nasir Hossain, who failed to score the benchmark score of 11 in beep test and subsequently was not allowed to participate in the recently concluded Bangabandhu T20 Cup, was picked by Pune Devils. Meanwhile, Bangla Tigers secured the services of youngsters Afif Hossain and Sheikh Mehedi.
However, Bangladesh national team regulars like Mahmudullah Riyad, Mustafizur Rahman, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Aminul Islam Biplob, whose names were also included in the draft, remained unpicked.
The T-10 league will start from January 26. But at that time, Bangladesh will play a home series against West Indies for which the selectors might consider players like Mosaddek, Taskin, Afif and Mehedi. In that case, their participation in the T10 league will depend on getting permission from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
