Shakib blessed with second daughter

Bangladesh premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who is currently in the United States with his family, has been blessed with his second daughter on Friday.

Shakib's mother Shirin Reza confirmed that the 33-year-old's daughter was born at around 4:00pm Bangladesh time today. It was also learned from a source close to Shakib's family that both the child and the mother are healthy. 

Shakib went to the United States last month to be with his pregnant wife and daughter Alayna. Shakib had however self-isolated himself at a hotel in the United States for 14 days before he went to his family in the United States. 

The 33-year-old all-rounder has also stepped up to help the less privileged ones during the coronavirus crisis. Shakib sold one of his favourite bats, with which he played during the ICC 2019 World Cup in England, for an amount of 20 lakh Taka in an online auction arranged by a page named 'Auction 4 Action' on social media on Wednesday night.
