Mashrafe salutes 'brave warrior' Moyeen
Former Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza paid homage to Md Moyeen Uddin, assistant professor at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital (SOMCH), who died of coronavirus yesterday. Through a Facebook post today, Mashrafe, who extended his condolences to the deceased's family, also said he salutes the 'brave warrior' who died after contracting coronavirus.
Mashrafe began by mentioning that Dr. Moyeen was a front line warrior in the fight against the deadly virus and how his demise has left everyone in the country with grief and sorrow. The 36-year-old pacer then recognized how valiantly Dr. Moyeen fought as a physician against coronavirus, that ultimately took his life.
Mashrafe ended his post by saluting Dr. Moyeen for his efforts.
Moyeen, who breathed his last at the intensive care unit of the capital's Kurmitola General Hospital (KGH) at the age of 48, was the first doctor in the country to die of coronavirus.
