Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has called on the youths of Bangladesh to take measures against coronavirus and exercise self isolation by staying home.

The legendary skipper had stepped down from the ODI captaincy role during the Zimbabwe series but was doing his duty as both an icon of the nation and an elected MP.

Mashrafe borrowed the famous lines of poet Helal Hafiz 'Ekhon joubon jar, michile jawar sreshtho somoy tar. Ekhon joubon jar, juddhe jawar sreshtho somoy tar'. Roughly translated, it means 'Now is the best time for the young man to go to the procession. Now is the best time for a young man to go to war'

Mashrafe wrote on a Facebook post: "Ekhon joubon jar, bashay thakar tar sreshtho somoy. Be safe. Be at home."

Mashrafe had yesterday also came up with a relevant post on what can be done and how it can be communicated when talking about Covid-19.
