BCB provides one-time financial assistance to 96 cricketers
Bangladesh Cricket board (BCB) kept its promise of providing financial assistance to the cricketers who were playing in the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League 2019-20 but were not included in BCB's central contract list or among BCB's first-class player contracts.
Representatives of 12 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League clubs received the BCB's one-time financial assistance on behalf of 96 non-contracted cricketers at the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis(CCDM) office at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today, a BCB media release said.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan had announced on March 28th that BCB were going to help the cricketers who 'are not part of the BCB's contracts are likely to face financial hardship as they may have only received partial payment from their respective Premier League Clubs.'
The Bangladesh Cricket Board had also said that they will be supporting the women cricketers with financial incentive during these tough times.
