Soaring expectations
Mahfuz Ahmed and Jaya Ahsan, both popular faces on television will be seen together for the first time in Animesh Aich's film “Zero Degree”. Ahead of its countrywide release tomorrow, the lead cast of the film spoke to The Daily Star. Excerpts:
Tell us about your expectations from the film?
Jaya: You expect more from a project you worked hard for. And I am confident that the audience won't be disappointed. I hope everyone will go to cinema halls and watch what I believe is an important milestone for our industry.
Mahfuz: A lot of expectations. I would request audiences to watch our film in theatres.
What was it like to work together in a film?
Jaya: Mahfuz is a brilliant co-artiste. We were together in a film for the first time, and it is a memorable experience.
Mahfuz: I have worked with Jaya in TV dramas and TVCs. But this was something different. Jaya is always great as a co-artiste. She identifies completely with the character she is playing.
Why should the audience watch “Zero Degree”?
Jaya: “Zero Degree” boasts of a unique storyline as well as great filmmaking, which will attract the audience.
Mahfuz: We have done a good film. There is no reason for the audience not to watch it (smiles).
How would you define “Zero Degree”?
Jaya: It's an action-packed film and the presentation is unique. You need to go to the theatre and watch it.
Mahfuz: Good script and good filmmaking form a great combine in this action-thriller.
