Fuddu
Director: Sunil Subramani
Writer: Pawan Kumar Sharma
Stars: Sharman Joshi, Shubham, Katrina Kaif
Strength: Cast
Weakness: Story
Runtime: 100min
Rating: 2.5/5
PLOT: A man's entire world is turned upside down as his wife and family disrespect and disregard him.
REVIEW: The film displays the unfortunate trials and tribulations faced by typical middle-class couples in Mumbai. The story revolves around a boy who comes to the city from Varanasi to find out the horrible spaces that people live in Mumbai.
Shubham portrays Mohan, who does a great job and looks believable with his bogged down condition. Swati Kapoor makes her debut in the film and does a considerable job. The supporting casts in the film are popular names, making cameos to give a push to the film, entertaining the audience while at it. The comedy elements in the film are the other thing that is worth enjoying that eventually gets tedious.
The movie at heart is a coming-of-age story of a migrant who, to his dismay, falls into unfortunate situations. The movie provides more visuals rather than emotions and answers no questions, which is disappointing to see. An ordinary film with good talents that could have been made much better had there been a proper story to tell.
