A week of unique concerts!

Concerts are a frequent occurrence in Bangladesh; but this week saw two different concerts, based on two unique aspects of our country. The fourth annual Joy Bangla Concert was held on 7th March, on the occasion of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Majibur Rahman's legendary 7th March speech. Popular local bands such as Nemesis, Powersurge, Arbovirus, Shunno, Cryptic Fate, Artcell, Lalon and Chirkutt performed in this special concert, which was held in the Army Stadium. Another concert, this one on 8th March, was held on the occasion of Women's Day. Named as "the concert for women", the Women's Day special concert graced the likes of Tahsan, Nancy, Minar and LRB on the stage. The concert was held at the Sultana Kamal Women's Complex, and provided free entry to women of age 5 years and above.
