Misha Sawdagar has been voted the new President of Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association while Zayed Khan the General Secretary. Misha Sawdagar won the election with a whooping 259 votes whereas his rival Omar Sunny got 153 votes only. Montazur Rahman, the election commissioner, further announced Riaz as the Vice President with 328 votes. The election was held at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation. Around 57 candidates fought for the 21 posts from three panels, with Omar Sunny, Amit Hasan, Zayed Khan, Danny Sidak and Elias Kobra as notable mentions. This election ended the presidency of Shakib Khan from the last election which took place in 2015.
