English Department of Stamford organises Spelling Contest 2019

SELF (Stamford English Language Forum) organised a spelling contest in the Department of English, Stamford University Bangladesh. The final round followed by the prize giving ceremony was held on September 17, 2019 at its Siddheswari campus auditorium.

Some 40 students from different batches participated in the contest, and 11 of them qualified for the final round. In the final round, Amitav Sikder (Batch 65), Asma Abdur Rahim (Batch 63), and Sayma Nasrin (Batch 60) achieved the top three positions respectively.

Sheikh Nahid Neazy, Chairman of the Department of English, handed over the prizes along with certificates to the winners and the finalists as well. Minhajul Abedin, Chief Coordinator of SELF, and Aleeya Tamzida, Assistant Professor, organised the event.A good number of faculties and students of the department attended the programme.
