Fairlady 2000 rebirth

The Fairlady 2000 is the second generation of the famed line from Datsun. The 1967 model was the first to bump engine capacity to 2000cc coupled to a 5 speed manual. Back then, this produced 133hp in stock form and a factory upgrade saw this 950kg car jump to 150hp. That's a lot more power to weight ratio than the famed Ford Mustang, at time when Nissan produced pretty cars. What happened? The current lineup is mostly fugly fat cars pretending to be wardrobes.

Hot Wheels has recently released this fantastic model with their very own restomod style tweaks. The HW version features flared arches, a hardtop, side exhaust and bigger wheels that don't look oversized. Also, it's doubtful if the scale is 1:64 - definitely looks bigger. It promises to be another big hit with customisers. It also looks like Hot Wheels will be responsible for mainstream collectors in Bangladesh knowing more JDM vehicles as even 3-4 years ago, very few people knew what a Hakosuka or a 240ZG were and Hot Wheels changed that.

If you want intricate details, the Autoart 1:18 model currently in production is priced at $136. Features a removable convertible top, beautifully hinged hood/trunk and fully wired/plumbed engine bay.
