- Pak army, accompanied by Razakars, enters Raniganj Bazar. They kill 30 civilians and arson around 150 establishments including many shops.
- A list of Pakistani representatives for UN General Assembly was published. The names are: Mahmud Ali, vice-president of Pakistan Democratic Party, Shah Azizur Rahman, Zulmat Ali Khan, Justice Jakir Uddin, Barister Kamal Faruki, Dr Begum Enayetullah, Ms Razia Fayez, Dr Fatima Sadik, Advocate AT Sadi, Advocate K Babar and few others.
- General Yahya Khan loses his balance. Pak troops are fighting discreetly, they failed to advance according to their plans, says ‘Bangladesh’, an English weekly published from Mujibnagar.
