- Indian PM Indira Gandhi goes to Moscow on a three-day official visit to discuss Bangladesh crisis.
- During addressing the UNGA meeting, Indian Foreign Minister Sardar Saran Singh says that to rehabilitate the Bangladeshi refugees in India, Pakistan needs to free Sheikh Mujib and to come to a settlement with Awami League.
- A committee of Madrasa teachers led by Maolana MA Mannan met Lt General Niazi. He tells Niazi that the Madrasa teachers will help the military to hold the country’s sovereignty. He presents a holy Quran to Gen Niazi and promises any help from their side.
